Gilda Lavia Gallery (Rome) is pleased to host Le stelle di San Lorenzo, a group exhibition curated by Valentina Ciarallo which will open on Friday March 31 at 6 pm.

On the occasion of the five years of activity of the gallery, the exhibition aims to be a tribute to the San Lorenzo district, to its lively artistic history which still today, with the new young realities, makes this area a central pole of interest.

The exhibition itinerary will consist of a selection of works by the twenty-one artists present, starting with the masters who first animated the spaces of the former Pastificio Cerere.

As written by the curator in the text accompanying the exhibition: "Le stelle di San Lorenzo is not meant to be an analytical reconnaissance but a gaze, a point of view, a window onto that part of the art scene that has populated and still populates the Roman district of San Lorenzo, from the beginning to the present day. […] However, the proliferation of artist studios goes far beyond the former Pastificio Cerere, enlivening the entire San Lorenzo district which has alternated, more or less, prosperous moments without ever ceasing to produce art, confirming itself as a place of creativity and stimulus. In more recent times San Lorenzo is experiencing a renaissance with the sprouting of independent spaces, new studios, galleries and redeveloping itself as an art district of the city.”
