Leonardo Petrucci

Once Upon a Time

Gilda Lavia Gallery based in Rome is pleased to host "Once Upon a Time", a solo show by the artist Leonardo Petrucci, which will open on Tuesday, October 15 at 7 pm.

The set of works that make up the exhibition, as evoked by its title, reflects on the concept of time, which instead of being explained and analyzed through formulas or scientific data, is manifested in all its complex ambiguity.
Petrucci's artistic research, linked to particular themes such as Sacred Geometry, Alchemy, Kabbalah and Astrology, analyzes the mystical and symbolic properties these concepts possess, ranging from microcosmic elements to macrocosmic ones.

With the body of works that make up "Once Upon a Time", the artist seems to give us a summary of his research, proposing a subversion of the concept of time through what he himself defines as physical and conceptual "short circuits". The visitor of the gallery will thus be able to experience a sort of initiatory journey, between cosmic geometries and space-time paradoxes.
